So without giving anything away, I would describe this as a fantasy adventure that reminded me of Princess Bride or Willow. The humor and characters reminds me of Terry Pratchett's writing. This is not going to leave you hanging like other authors on Amazon, this is a complete story and it has a good pace all the way through with no gaps or flaws (although I did stay up till 2 am to finish because I was enjoying it so much.) It would also be appropriate for all ages. I hope lots of people have interest so the author will write more in this world!

One if my favorite authors. I highly recommend his Union Station series of books if you want something different in SF. This is very different fantasy reminded me of "Glory Road" by Robert A. Heinlein (the first SF book I ever read) it is funny in parts and not what you will expect.

Nice story of new mages coming into their power. A little quirky and fun. Enjoyed it especially because I was fooled. It is not very often that an author in this genre has me guessing the wrong ending.

E. M. Foner does it again but this time in a fantasy world instead of in deep space. What a delightful time reading his "Meghan's Dragon". I recommend reading all his books and will have readers withdrawal symptoms soon if he doesn't come out with another real soon. Even my Newfoundland Namaste' is a fan and want him to write a back story in his Earth Cent Ambassador series about Bailwolf's back story.

This was a fun and funny book. It was a quick read and keep me engrossed. World is interesting and it was fun trying to figure out the locations as they mapped to our world. Well worth your time if you're looking for a fun, light fantasy read.

As with the Union Station books, this is a greatly enjoyable read - not fluff, but not dark or heavy, essentially just what the author stated as the intention.

The only thing that I can say against it is that the ending felt rushed in that the was a set of quickly handled resolutions to the immediate situations then....the end. Perhaps there's another book coming.

This world doesn't make much sense with wars fought over dresses, but not real wars, fake ones where everyone is happy fighting them and look forward to the next one.

This is not a fantasy world, but a fake one instead.

Bryan is beginning to devolve into the only mean person in this world.

Meghan is an interesting character, and she is on the run from a marriage, but I don't get a sense of dread or any real conflict.

This is more of a comical romp like Shakesphere's much ado about nothing.

I am sure it is a fun story, it is not for me.

Likable characters, a quest, a fellowship, and a sense of fun - what's not to like? Very sweet & sometimes surprising story. Interesting world based on our own. Sequel?

A fine fantasy novel from the author of the Earthcent series which began with the very funny novel, Date Night on Union Station. There is adventure and intrigue but an E.M.

Took me a while to get into the story, I think the author could have used a page of two of back story; however it was a fun book that kept you turning the pages.
